Description of the publication: We are delighted to present you with the very first guide to an unusual Warsaw, created for those who wish to see the city from a different perspective. The publication follows the footsteps of Amanullah Khan – reformer, King of Afghanistan, and an extraordinary visitor to interwar Warsaw. It is a story about places where history and culture meet, revealing little-known facts and curiosities. The guide not only highlights the spaces visited by Amanullah Khan but also brings closer fragments of pre-war history of Warsaw and Poland, helping to better understand the context of those times. The publication was created as part of the project “Historie na styku. Warszawskie spacery tematyczne”, carried out by the Open House Initiative Foundation, co-financed by the Muzeum Historii Polski in Warsaw under the “„Patriotyzm Jutra” program.
