Project description
In the second half of March 2025, we begin a pilot course combining basic Polish language learning with knowledge about Polish culture. The goal of the program is not only learning basic language skills, but also a better understanding of the surrounding reality and life in Poland.
Project goals
• Learning the basics of the Polish language (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
• learning the basic elements of Poland's culture and traditions
• Preparation for daily functioning in Poland
• facilitating integration with the local community
Project activities
For whom?
The course is addressed to people who start learning Polish from scratch (level A0). People with a variety of origin and experience will take part in the first edition.
Project results
How will science go?
Classes will take place twice a week for two hours, and the entire course will last until the end of June 2025. Each group will implement about 160 hours of study. In addition to classic teaching methods, we want to combine the course with our "Warsaw Adventures" program so that participants can learn through experience - e.g. visiting the city, meetings with residents and practical use of language in everyday situations.
Project partners
This project is supported by the Empowerment and Resilience Fund, which is coordinated jointly by ENAR and ENAR Foundation.
Project benefits
Evaluation and future of the program
After completing the course, participants will write tests in Polish and knowledge about culture and complete an evaluation survey. The results will help us adapt didactic materials and improve the curriculum. If the pilot proves to be effective, we plan to make the course a permanent element of our offer.
Providing resources
After refining the program, we will be happy to share our materials with interested institutions and organizations. At the moment, we are wondering whether to make all resources available in public.
This is just the beginning! Keep your fingers crossed for our pilot and follow our progress!
